Time Cruisers is a theme produced by LEGO from 1996-1997. Sets in the second year were labelled Time Twisters which is sometimes considered a separate theme rather than a subtheme (ie: Peeron).

Fan Reaction
From the first introduction adult fans have been overwhelmingly negative about this theme. The sets appear to most to be poorly designed and speculation within the community suggests that an over-production of large number of random elements rather than a coherent design vision drove the process.
Timmy
Time Cruisers also gave the world Timmy, perhaps the most disliked minifig character ever produced by LEGO.
