3x scale

When a builder describes a MOC as 3x scale it refers to the scale of the elements compared to a classic LEGO element. Usually these elements are brick-built from classic elements into 3x scale representations of other LEGO elements. These larger scale elements are then assembled into the final MOC. Frequently 3x scale is used to build LEGO sets at, 3 times the original scale.

In 3x scale creations a quick way to gauge the scale is to imagine a 2x2 round tile: half-4150.png as the top of a stud.
