Playability is a term fans use to describe features in a LEGO set that are likely to appeal to children, or those that like to play/operate things rather than just look at them, but are possibly silly or unrealistic. For example, "I guess the catapults in Vladek's Dark Fortress improve playability, but are five catapults really necessary?"

Contrast with "That's a nice MOC but you can't even pick it up without it falling apart, much less swoosh it around. It has no playability."

Note also that several of the common set review formats (including some, such as the format, also used on LUGNET, that are around 10 years old) use playability as one of the rating factors (along with such things as appearance, build enjoyment, and parts included).
