Dirty Brickster is a white elephant gift exchange game, popular at AFOL gatherings. It was first widely played at BrickFest. Participants each bring a wrapped item, valued at a prearranged amount, and a game is played. In lot chosen order each participant either steals an already opened present, or opens a new one. When stealing, the other participants chant "Dirty Brickster". The victim can then steal or open. Once the chain of stealing stops, the next participant goes. Typically there is freezing so a gift can only be stolen a certain number of times (typically 3), and there is a no steal immediately back rule.

Participants often collude ("You steal this now and when it's my turn I'll steal it back so you can steal that other thing") to get the most desirable things frozen.
